Their caring attention kept him safe, clean, and in good health as he became less and less able to do for himself. Dad eventually had to move to a "skilled care" facility nearby when he became bedridden at 97 years old. One of his visitors remarked that they hoped to live in "a nice place like this" when the housework and stairs became too much trouble. The programming consists of physical, cognitive, creative, sensory, and spirituals activities along with a variety of other outlets to allow residents to freely express themselves. Along with programs designed to enhance socialization, there is also a strong focus on service projects in hopes of involving and keeping residents active in the community.

Family members leave with the confidence that their loved one is safe and in good hands. I would go to the community myself, and place another loved one in the community again. The staff is really good at keeping the care levels on an individualized basis for each resident. The leadership is good at making sure to know what is going on with each resident in the community as well.

The community has been designed to accommodate a diversity of lifestyle requirements while offering the security and convenience of individualized care. We came to Allisonville in the midst of transition. I didn’t feel the staff really knew a lot about the facility. It was relatively new, but it seemed like a real nursing home, and I didn’t like the feel of it.

However, nothing beats actually visiting the nursing home yourself when possible. Total Licensed Nursing Hours (Registered Nurses + Licensed Practical Nurses + Licensed Vocational Nurses) averages 1.63 hours per day per resident (the national average is 1.4 hours). It was bright, and everything was in great order. I thought their price was very reasonable. The rooms were adequate and nicely arranged. Allisonville Meadows was new, and it was a nice facility.
It's a large complex with five hallways full of residents. She likes the food and there seems to be a lot to do there. I had to move my mother from another state to Indiana to a memory care unit. I did research and visited several facilities. I was impressed with Allison Meadows immediately. I can't say enough about the wonderful care my mom has received.

I am particularly impressed with how diligent the PT and nursing staff is, how any time I have had problems relating to my condition, I received solutions immediately. Moreover, I have been treated with kindness, compassion and caring in an atmosphere of love.
They offer transportation and once a week they would go out and have activities outside. Allisonville Meadows was the one that met the needs for my relative. It was extremely new, very open, light, and airy. The person that accommodated us was fantastic, informative, and helpful. They had so many activities that were available.
